Hi all

I was decluttering my trailer of old mower engines and didn't have time to look at this machine on
the ground so took a quick pic instead , anyone know what it is ? .

What Brand? ,On my first look from a distance I thought it was a Deutscher mower.

As I look at the image I would say it's a turf cutter ,INGS Engineering .(think I've answered my question)

Looks like this turf cutter would have been an expensive bit of equipment when new.

Two Victa mowers and without rust .

Cheers
Max.

Hi maxwestern,

Looks well engineered whatever it is and it's ex Kennards so that says something.
That looks like a Robin engine going by the mustard colour.

What four stroke is that on the Victa in the background?

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

MF, its a Tecumseh (probably tecumseh vantage)

Max, I think you have indeed answered your own question

Did you liberate the Victa's from the tip?

Hi MF and Tyler

Mf is right with the Robin motor on the turf cutter and Tyler is correct, the mower in the distance is a
Tecumseh motor also there is a slightly hidden mower in the pic with a Briggs motor.

No Tyler ,I left the mowers there ,it was a scrap metal yard probably would have cost me 13 cents a kg
for the mowers , they paid me $54. for a 6 x 4 trailer load of parts.

Cheers

The 2 stroke still has it's plug guard which is quite extraordinary on such an old specimen.

Silly FHI dropped the Robin name in favour of appealing to the masses with their car division name.
Look it's a Subaru motor on the mower!! Trying to emulate Honda there. Robin was highly regarded by those with a clue.
We all know how daft Subaru owners can be with the cars!!
