So I have 2 G4 carbys I'm reconditioning. One has the C clip, that holds the diaphragm as per the G4 diagram I got from here. The other has a much larger retaining clip. Question: is the C clip fine in place of the larger retaining clip? If not, I'm having a little trouble finding reproduction larger retaining clips. Any help would be greatly appreciated! In the 2 pictures you can see the larger retaining clip and the other are the C clip.

It's probably already been answered a bunch of times on here but im to tired and my brain is mush. So I'm struggling to research at the moment....

Either will work fine, I have hundreds of the bigger ones, don't come across the small ones often. Good luck with the rebuild, hope you get it to work.

I just heard from Norm that you got the cowlings and zip starters for 1974 Victa utility's. If you manage to have a spare decent one, that you don't need, can you let me know please? In the pictures, mine is the one with the incorrect impulse starter and the other is just a picture I sourced from the Web to show what I'm looking for....
