Collected a few pieces yesterday, a couple of NOS thumb latch catchers, with with a green magic eye and a twin grip. Two full sets of late model Turner wheels, one set on a gold valiant base. Another first model Sunbeam rear catcher model and a couple of other catchers ( like I needed more ) can someone tell me what model mower the catcher on the left of the Victa is off. I have another thumb latch with a green Magic eye, everyone Iv'e spoken to has only seen red ones. I'm thinking that the originals were red and replacements made after that were green ? but why ?
I recently got a Powertorque era thumb latch catcher with the green indicator. Beats me what it signifies, maybe after a certain year? While we're on the subject of these catchers, why it's one of mine not locking with the rear flap on one mower but manages to on another?
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
