Helping an old mate sort through a bunch of mower parts and need help ID'ing some please.

1. I have a Top Hat pully from a model 1 or 2 Rotomo with correct ESS and 4 castings on the underside, but unlike all the ones I've seen in use here and elsewhere my one has a threaded hole right through the middle of the top hat. The only place I've seen this is in ads posted in this thread and was wondering if anyone has info on this style of pulley. https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/92117/Searchpage/1/Main/13583

2. Can someone please post a pic of the Romoto Model 1 throttle lever front and back. I appear to have what looks like one but want to verify if the back is ball shaped like the front or if it has a dimple (I'll post a pic of mine later)

3. I have a fuel tap (pic below) which looks similar to a Model 1 but with an extra section just before the fuel line. Can someone please post a detailed pic of front and back of this.

4. Is there a thread that helps ID the different model, main parts changes and engine # ranges of Victa?

5. Is the main carby body for the brass nut carby the same as the ones with a clamp. Trying to work out if I have any brass nut carbys that had the nut replaced with a clamp. Also searching for the brass nut in among a lot of parts.

Thanks all.

Hi Claude

The fuel tap is not original for a Victa Rotomo ,the Victa ones are machined where the fuel hose fits and your
one has a removable brass union and removing your union is a thread that Victa don't have.

No, the main carby body for the brass nut carby is not the same as the ones with a clamp.

Not sure on the starter pulley but it could be very early model 1. It's a little difficult to prove the early drawings are correct.

The model 1 throttle controller pic below.

Thanks for all that Max, helps a lot. I think the throttle control I was thinking of was actually a Villiers one with similar design. Would be great to see a pic of the back of the Victa one as I have looked everywhere it seems.

Will now need to work out where the fuel tap is from, looks very similar but I did notice the difference. Was hoping someone would say it was only used on a prototype of the Model 1 grin

G'day Claude

The Villiers controller arm is a lot thinner than the Victa one ,pic below is Villiers but a lot of the Villiers controller
arms are straight the one below is bent on an angle.

Your fuel tap is generally sold as a Villiers fuel tap ,this one below is slightly different.

Well there you go never knew Greg Lawn had mower bits at his shop but I guess with a name like that and you are bringing container loads of old bike stuff in you will end up with mower bits in boxes

Thanks Max, I will look into Villiers fuel taps and find a match.

The Villiers control I was looking at was this one but I do have the others you linked to also (and many more!)

Still looking for a pic of the rear of a Rotomo Model 1 throttle control level if someone has one or can take a pic. Thanks.
