Hi gents,
I’ve put my Morrison Olympic 500 back together to send off to be sharpened. The only problem is I’ve lost all the photos and videos from when I pulled it apart. I thought I had got it all correct till the end and I had this bit left over (pictured) haha. I can’t for the life of me work out where it’s come from. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello Butchy8
Not sure ...
best guess - a clutch rod actuating pin.
No 177 in diagram ...

Hope this helps.

Hello Baldingow180

That diagram was from a Victa Imperial Record I wrote some time ago: -

https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=72729

However, I have since recorded a Morrison parts list here: -

I hope this helps.

Hi CyberJack

Thanks for clarifying that. I was curious if i got the wrong machine or not. Do you have experience with the Morrison 500? looking to get some knowledge as i`m stuck and the couple of places i`ve been to didn't really know.
Its an issue with the machine not driving forward. I believe its just the clutch cable but i want ti make sure the mechanism if the clutch cable is working as it should be. Thanks

Hi Butchy8

Does the bolt you have questions about have a thread inside it? i believe my Morrison 500 is missing the piece you have and I`m trying to get clarification on this. Thanks

Hello Baldingowl180
I know the Ransomes and Victa equivalent very well.
Here is a simple test to find the drive issue...

You have a simple spring-energised friction plate clutch.
The clutch cable - via a rod - pushes against spring pressure
to release the two clutch halves.

So, simply engage the landroll (roller) clutch.
[if you want, disconnect the clutch cable]
This should result in both clutch plates being locked together.

Now, rotate the outer clutch plate anti-closkwise.
This will result in the inner clutch plate and its small roller
chain to roller also traveling anticlockwise.

If the mower moves forward then the issue will not be with the clutch.
If the mower does not move forward, the issue will be with a
failed bevel gear or its carrier in the rear roller differential.

Hope this helps.

Hi Cyber Jack

Thank for helping out with this. I believe the bolt is either the wrong one ( to short ) or a piece inside the where the bolt should go, or pushes against is broken or missing. I will try your diagnostics and let you know if you wish. I fly out today so this will have to wait till I`m back home. Thank you for the help and advice, its very appreciated.
