We use the attachment manager (on this site) so that the images stay on the site for all to see in the future.

Widget, you are wondering why it might be cutting low, no bushes on the front axle and it was being held on with cable ties, this might be a good starting point with the problems of the height

I'd flip it over for a closer look mate, the cable ties present in the pics (as Norm has mentioned) may be a clue to why your tearing up the green stuff.
I attached some underside pics from the front axle... looks sort of ok to me... I might have to go detective mode and try find some reference material on how it looks and how it should operate.
