I think you meant vulnerable. It probably worked on the thicker steel of the first series steel chassis, but it results in a horrible flexing feel on the thinner steels used to make later versions. That is the main thing that puts me off the odious things. Victa should have changed it long ago.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
