All of B&S' side valve engines are now made in China, as are their smaller [push mower sizes] vertical and horizontal shaft OHV singles. Vertical shaft SV's went to China ca. 2000, as did the last of the smaller [to 2100 series] horizontal shafts in 2012.

It's a bit hard to be definite about the E and EX Series push mower engines, as they do make SOME models in the US, but these are mostly different to their offerings on the OZ market.

I note that they do claim that the 725EX is US-made, but as it's the sole US market side valve offering, I have my doubts. It could just be assembled there from Chinese parts, for that market only.

Of their larger engines, the Vanguard vertical shaft singles are made in the US, and the Vanguard horizontal shaft singles and all Vanguard V-twins in Japan [using some US-made parts]. The Japanese factory is a joint venture with Daihatsu.
