Hi guys,

mmmm confused this motivated me from the computor to the shed..... Just tapped the flywheel for my puller and pulled the flywheel off an early VC era motor. Seems like the coil is mounted to the points plate which can be adjusted, which in turn will adjust the timing of the coil relative to the magnet in the flywheel. This is the same sort of set up as my old Kirby motors. If this is the case with yours and you had it apart maybe it went back in adjusted to the otherside of TDC....?

If yours is different could you post a photo? I was given the impression that the motor I have is an early VC type, maybe it isn't? (could have been told what I wanted to hear on that motor..)

Cheers,
John
