sorry bob, for my lack of edumacation, the ride on is an mtd, about mid eighties. it has a 12hp motor, only two blades, and the blades are driven when the deck is lowered, straight of the pulley of the bottom of the engine , again I say my belief is something to do with an engine mount or the engine tilting under load causing a lack of tension any how im going to pull it out of the shed, and im going to take some photos, and if i can work it out, i will post them, thanks for your input.
