Thanks very much for the prompt and correct response. I assumed that there would be alignment marks but have not been able to remove the lower boss from the crankshaft to remove the crank from the housing. I need to do this to replace the oil seal. In the process I have stuffed the thread on the crank so I will have to either seek a replacement crank or retap the thread to a larger diameter. Do you know if obtaining a crankshaft is a vaible option before I attack the boss with a grinder. I've tried belting the shaft, using wheel pullers, oxy heat, soaking in penetrene overnight but I think it's pretty well fused onto the end. Can you help on this one?
