G'day This is my first post so Hi to everyone on the forum. I've got a white ride on mower which wont start on the ignition key. I managed to trace out the ignition circuit to one of the saftey switches mounted horizontal on the deck. This switch looks like it has to be pushed in for the mower to start but there doesn't seem to be any lever etc. to operate this switch?? I've managed to bypass the saftey switches and get the mower to start on the key, however it's got me baffled as to what is missing. A couple of hours with a fluke meter and scraped knuckles still no idea?? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers SC
Welcome to the forum supercharger and I hope that you find the information here helpful.
As to you problem with the white ride-on I would need the model before we go on further. The issue is they have so many different models it is hard to give you the correct answer to you question.
Regards,
Bruce

Hi Bruce The mower is currently up near Taree so I don't have the Model No., I think it may be an LT12. I saw this diagram froma previous post. https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/284.jpg The switch in question is labelled No. 10 in this diagram, if that helps at all. I've checked all the switches and they seem to operate as required. The only other problem I could think of is an open circuit inthe wiring harness. Could you tell me what operates the No 10 switch from the diagram, because I think this might be missing from the mower. Cheers SC
G'day Bruce Thanks for the info. I gather the No 10 switch must be for the clutch/brake pedal. I think the switch may have been put in the wrong way around, the mounting seem to allow for this, which seem a bit strange. From what I remember from last weekend the switch was facing towards the operator and not away as should be the case. You wouldn't have the wiring diagram for a White LT12 handy would you?? I've tried the MTD site but I don't have the serial number or model number so I can't get access. Cheers SC
