Learned friends,

I am trying to chase down a clutch rubber for a 40 series. I know parts are as rare as hens teeth but somebody may know a source or if there is aftermarket suppliers producing them now.

Sorry Carl, but there are absolutely no 3rd Party parts being made for any Scott Bonnar mower apart from the model 45.

I do not feel this part lends its design to 3D printing as such.
It's more basic than that ... This is old technology.

All we need is a manufacturer to bond rubber to a boss or spigot
to the required specification.

This is not rocket science, it's just no-one has shown the initiative
to solve the re-make of this part.

We need accurate specification (see Gallery)
Note the groove in the boss to prevent axial rubber movement. Also
note the 'rough' finish on the boss - for bonding?

Thanks Bonnar_Bloke and Jack,

I thought that the appeal of all these mowers gaining traction in the past few years would have yielded more manufacturers getting these types of spares into the marketplace.

I will continue to hunt around and maybe hit up some businesses to see what is viable. Otherwise I will just have to get inventive in knocking something up myself. I do have one that is worn but haven't had a chance to see if it grabs when running yet :-)

The market is dictated to by demand, sadly there's absolutely no demand for anything else than the Model 45 which was the most modern version of the traditional cylinder cut machine made and not forgetting that this machine was made from 1968 through to 2009. That's a fairly phenomenal feet I might add and a heap of mowers as well.
