Hi.
I am looking for a part for my Mac 15 chainsaw. It is the black plug that goes in the hole over the spark plug. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
Matt.

Matt,

The part number that you are after is 57565 and I don't know if you will be able to locate it unless you can find one second hand. I will ask around but I don't like my chances of finding one. cheers2

Bruce,
I don't know if you can help me again, but I need a carbie kit for my Mac 15, for a Tillotson HC series carb.

Thanks.
Matt.

Matt,

Can you give me some more information on the carby (an numbers that are stamped on it) so that I can get you the correct kit. cheers2

Bruce,
carby has no numbers at all on the outside. It has the number 40 on the air inlet behind the choke butterfly. If this helps the choke butterfly has the numbers 62-36 and the throttle butterfly the numbers 34-46. I have been doing some research on Mac 15 chainsaws and I think they were fitted with a Tillotson HC-13A carby.
Thanks.
Matt.

Matt,

Can you post a couple of pictures as the Mac 15 chainsaw has a couple of different types of carby depending on what year it was made but do not show the brand only a part number.

Once I see the carby I will have a better idea of the kit required. cheers2

Matt,

I can not locate any HC kits but it looks like a HS type carby. Even the website does not list that model carby.

I do have the HS kit in stock but can't be 100% sure that it is correct as I need a measurement of the metering stem. cheers2

Bruce, when you say metering stem are you refering to the high speed adjusting screw??

Matt.

If you look at the second pic and undo the 4 screws, then measure the metal plunger depth I will be able to compare with the kit that I have. cheers2

Bruce.
Plunger depth is 2.5mm.
I have been looking into the HC carb again and a few guys say it is a HL carb without the fuel pump???
Dont know if this is so but just a thought.
An exploded view of a HS looks the same though which is what you said.
