The Homelite XL 12 model was first introduced in 1964 & production finished in 1988. The early ones (before 1970)were
blue, the later ones were red.
The one I have is a very early model, 54cc ,manual oil pump.
This one runs perfect, I love the sound of the exhaust.. it has a real loud bark to it.

The old Homelite chainsaws were highly regarded, they even made one model with a stick shift 2 speed gearbox.

Nice chainsaw. I just picked up a xl automatic. Looks exact same but red. N it has auto oil feeder but has the manual pump as a over ride :-) mine sounds grouse aswell
