While working on my Anniversary 12 today I noticed that the rhs rear wheel hub has a major crack.
I need to find a replacement.
I've been surfing the 'net a bit and can't find one anywhere.

Does anyone know of somewhere I can buy one? New or used is fine.

Thanks in advance,
Greg

G'day tzeggy,

I afraid I've got none going spare. They do pop up from time to time on the old flea tree and gumbay if you are prepared to wait.

Have you tried the factory or a dealer for a new item? A quick trawl through the ipc's suggests the same part number (GT1625) was used up into the later machines and so should (?) be still available as a new spare part. Worth the phone call I'd reckon.

If you get really, really stuck I can repair it for you Greg but that is a last resort, I would have to make a steel cage around it.

Thanks prd.

Thanks also Norm.
I guess I could probably make one out of steel, using grub screws to hold it to the axle.
I can do everything here in my shed apart from the keyway unfortunately.

I think I know a couple of reasons why it might have failed:
I use this mower on my property, which has an 800 metre long, rough dirt driveway into it. We drive the mower up and down this driveway to mow the front flat area.
I think the clamping bolt worked loose a little, just enough to allow the hub to wobble slightly on the axle and develop the split.
These mowers do not appear to be designed for rough ground. I might be expecting too much of it and need to slow right down on the driveway.

Cheers,
Greg

Hi Greg, keyway is also my issue, that is why I would have to build a steel casing around the outside to hold it all together. These are probably the toughest of the small rideons and you are probably right, if the clamp bolt was loose the keyway was taking most of the load. At least you can remove the hub from the shaft, the earlier ones had no hub, the wheel was straight on the shaft and some of those wheels are impossible to remove. On one I had to end up cutting the axle out of the chassis and get it into my press to get the wheel off.
