The great Victa advertising Campaign
'Go with the Champion' was introduced
for the
1966 Victas.
It was an early example of brilliant marketing juxtaposition: combining not-glamorous
'lawnmowing' with glamorous sport 'champions'. Everyone loves a winner!
The analogy was appropriate; because Victa was the No. 1 Lawnmower maker
in Australia at this time. They had a winning
formula that made them the champion:
innovative designs, brilliant marketing, and superb after-sales dealer support,
service and spares.
I present here a

The
Victa Commander, Corvette and Cortina.Note the symbolic blue ribbon, gold medal complete with the ancient wreath,
and the older Victa logo (with the mower stripes through the name).
The newer (and still current) Victa logo would be introduced in late 1966 for the 1967 year.
