My nan's neighbour had a white wagon in the late 1990s. It had over 400,000km and it's 202 didn't use a drop of oil. When I travelled with him in it one time, he drove it so carefully, no wonder it used no oil! The 202 was so smooth and the sounds of the trimatic transmission brought back memories after many years without riding in a Kingswood.
The HJ had the strip style speedometer (the first since the HK of 1968 -and the last!!) and no temp gauge - only a warning light!!
I loved the lack of hoses under the engine bay. Just the engine and one hose leading to the brake booster. As the owner said, you can get in there and have a dance!


Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
