I am not qualified to speak about the great Anzani of engine fame - maker of
engines for aircraft, cars, boats, and motorcycles in factories in Britain,
France and Italy. As a school boy, I knew that an Anzani engine had
powered Louis Blériot’s aircraft on Louis’ successful crossing of the
English Channel in 1909. I loved that mono-wing design.

The success of Anzani engines resulted - directly & indirectly - in the
establishment of licensed production in London, and this venture gave rise to
British Anzani.

Post WWII, British Anzani diversified as the British Anzani Group to produce
all sorts of wonderful machines - small engines (of course), but also two-wheel
and four-wheel tractors, outboards, and ... lawnmowers.

The British Anzani Easimow [Later 'Lawnrider'] is one of the most unusual
ride-ons you would never see: a sort of Art Deco meets the Rocketeer meets
lawn machine: -

The thing is that Anzani products did sell in Australia!
