Just had a ring around trying to source some suitable material (extra heavy 32nb pipe or 40mm x 30mm hollow bar) so that I could look at machining some sleeves. I would need to sell many sets just to cover the material cost (offcut, minimum invoice amount) on the cheapest price I was quoted, just not viable for me.
I originally purchased a couple of 6202 bearings with 5/8" bores, they didn't fit(too small a bore to fit on the roller shaft).I would have measured the Anthony bearing with a vernier and considering od and width appeared imperial I wrongly assumed an imperial bore. Measured accurately with micrometers the od is more than 1.5 inches and the id is awful close to 16mm.
On another note when I rang Anthonys the price per bearing at the time was under $10 including gst (500 min), I would imagine they would be a slow moving item so the retail price seems reasonable .

Hi Gino,
Definitely not at $64.00 a bearing from one eBay seller, "Greenacres".
Cheers, BB.

Just had a look, apparently they have sold three. I think I might buy some from ODK and chuck them on ebay .

Hi All, Soon the online store will have a complete range of spare part for the model 45 both 17" & 20". We will be posting pictures in about 10 Days time of the complete machine that will be available. Once the machine arrives we will be able to confirm that they are the same.

Hi Bruce,
Firstly thanks for updating us with that info. It will be very interesting to see if the parts are all interchangeable.
I don't know what sort of idiot would pay $64 for a low tolerance bearing, but yes they are out there and I seem to not be able to find them. All I ever do is find the smart buggers that want to screw you down, but that's South Australia for ya !
Cheers, BB.

HI CP,
I really like the colour in the last shot, it's amazing how colour temperature can change the colours in photography.
In actual fact if that photo is correct it's so close to original it's not funny. Did you by any chance get the formula for it or is it on a sticker on the can. Also how much paint did you have mixed up ?
Now for the bad bit,
Sadly I don't like being the bearer of bad news but it seems you've put the SB decal on upside down on the handlebar shield.
With heavy heart, BB.

Hi Bb Thanks for the bad news on the decal I have fix it thanks for pointing it out lol. The photo is the actual colour and I am very happy with the way it turned out . Sorry but there is no paint code I can give it was just colour matched from behind the chain case . Queensland paint supplies at Salisbury in qld mixed it up it started out as there green hammer tone of the shelf and one of the guys there tinted it to get it as close as possible 😃😃 ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2017/02/full-11026-33224-img_5727.jpg) Some more parts painted and the cork is just sitting there it is getting ready to be glued on to the right side of the gear so it is going on that one lol what is a good glue to use??? Thanks for your time

Hi CP,
Use "Contact" glue which is that yellow stuff that you put on both surfaces and allow to go off then bond together.
Cheers, BB.

Hi CP,
Yes iten 7 (pawl carrier assembly) must sit perfectly central over the woodruff key and then you lock it down with the set screw #48
Cheers, BB.

Also found a brass height adjustment knob that I have been sanding and polishing to try make it shine ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2017/03/full-11026-33606-img_6046.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2017/03/full-11026-33607-img_6047.jpg) And all so knock up another chain tensioner let me know if any one would be interested in purchasing one I will be selling them to fund my hobbies lol

Hi CP,
Those early series 1 Height adjusters look good polished up but they really need to be lacquered so as to stop the oxidisation that will naturally occur.
I noticed that the tensioner that you made for me had a thread tapped into it, did you do this deliberately or are you going to make future ones without so they just slide over the stub and are locked on by the 3/4 nut ?
Cheers, BB.

Hi Bb
Yes I was thinking of clear coating the adjuster
The chain tensioner I made for you I just screw over my thread arm but will be tapping them out to run the same as the O/E tensioner

Hi CP,
Love the progress.
One major point to make here, I note that you've just bought a Bed Knife straight from an online outlet and it is still a blank.
This must be ground along with your reel so as to match. You'd be surprised how out of whack that blade will be just being attached to the Sole Plate alone.
The sole plates are never perfect and as such the blade will follow the sole plate.
BTW I love the roller in Red opposed to being light Grey.
Cheers, BB.

Hi Bb
Yes it is a new bed knife blade as my reel is at the end of its life but both have been ground to match each other.
