Hi there guys,

I'm new to the site and was looking for some info and advice on a mower i recently got of a mate.
I'm not sure what model it is and i'm trying to rebuild it but have hit some road blocks.
I cant get the roller off due to a past modification. Some one has welded the drive gear on.
is that original??
I also cant get the reel drive gear off and was wondering if it is keyed or threaded.

Any help will be much appreciated

I have looked at all the posts on the morrisons and cant seem to find one the same as mine.

None seem to have the same drive set up.

attached is a photo of the cutter twin gear all the morrisons i have seen do not have the shaft hanging out the end.



Has any one seen this before?

That double sprocket will be screwed on, with a LH thread.

The square on the shaft end is for the purpose of holding the shaft, while getting the sprocket to start unscrewing.
Its having been butchered pretty much makes it useless, though.

It may be better to regard this machine as a learning/training exercise, rather than a practical restoration. Due to lack of availability of machine-specific info and parts, and the 'past tenant's improvements' .

I have had some success and got 2 of the cogs off.

For future reference the square bit is attached to the cog and is easier removal.

I'm gonna get the blade cleaned and see about getting it sharpened.

Does anyone know who does that in Perth??
