Many thanks to cyberjack for putting together all this information about the Talisman.
Your detective skills are great.This is a lot more data on the history than I could ever find.I new the mower was not common but is rarer than I thought.Made me think about the day in 1986 we had the clean out and what else was thrown to the tip,can't remember now.I remember saying to the boss your not going to throw that old mower on the fire.Sure am he said, piece of sh#$. Good luck for me as I wasn't the only one trying to save it.

Your Talisman will be a century old shortly. I feel these grand
old machines should survive by virtue of age alone!
