Good morning all, just reporting in as an interested party having yesterday obtained a Victa 8/30. It's in poor condition and I will no doubt be seeking help. I am a retired electrical fitter having worked on aircraft and in the defence industry most of my working life. These days I live in a caravan park and occasionally get to drag the van around a bit. There are a number of Victa ride-on owners that visit these forums.

For whatever reason many lawnmower manufacturers have many
connections with the aircraft industry: Victa and their Air-tourer;
James Kirby (Kirby Motors) made the RR Merlin here; Tecnico made
receivers and magnetos...

It sounds like you have an idyllic life there.
