Hello Bruce
This is a tractor driven PTO powered chipper shredder. I run it using a 43hp MF135. I bought it new from Motorcolt in Dandenong in 1993. In 1997 it was badly damaged by a fire which completely engulfed it and destroyed the shed and tractor. I rebuilt the shredder replacing the chipper blade, bearings, v belts etc. Mulcher blades were not replaced and the unit provided another 5 years use until it developed the habit of chucking mulcher blades out the top. A little bit of a safety issue requiring frequent changing of underwear. Mulcher blades appear loose. When refitting the pin holding these is it pressed before the retaining collar is fitted? When operating correctly it is a brilliant well built piece of equipment however due to safety issues I am reluctant to use it and wonder if it is past its use by date. Mulcher blades and pins do not show any wear.
