Bad news here ...

I cleaned out the carby, no change. Not sure why but nothing. I know fuel is getting into the bowl but it's just not getting through the carby. I couldn't find a blockage anywhere.

Sprayed some start ya bastard into the carby, pulled the cord, cord snapped, carby caught fire and now it seems to have no compression. I blew out the fire. It didn't cause any damage.

I'll look at it again later on when I can be bothered replacing the cord.

Going to take a break from it for a little while.

Gadge; based on the description of the air filter I think I may actually have the correct filter. I'll post a photo of it when I get around to it.

what type of carby is it ? if you need i'll drop in next time im down that way

Thanks Dave, I'm off to Renmark then Ceduna for work for a few days so I won't have a chance to look at it.

It's a Walbro carb on a Clinton engine. When I get back I'll pull it down again and see what I can see see see.

I'll call out if I can't get it going.

Ceduna is about 9 hours out of Adelaide on the far West coast of SA. Mainly a fishing town. The last weekend was the Oyster festival. Beautiful town and some of the best (ALL YEAR ROUND) King George Whiting fishing in SA. Nice Snapper up there too. Very high unemployment rate and the pub and bottle o take a copy of your ID when you buy booze (Can't buy more than a carton at a time). Big problem with booze, fighting and crime. A friend of mine left her hotel room for 20 mins and had her handbag, phone and ipad stolen. Forced the door open. Nothing o do there but fish, drink, fight and steal stuff.

Incidentally Dave is a good bloke. Would give you the shirt off his back.
