Hello ODK History Lovers
It is long overdue in presenting this 1971 catalogue of Victa mowers.
The booklet covers all machines offered for the 1970-71 mowing season.
Context:
After almost two decades, Victa was still innovative. For many, the 1970s Victa range would signify
the greatest period of Victa lawnmowers. For some, it signified their childhood.
The VC range was the highlight of the catalogue. This was Victa's first venture into
high-arch mower design. The copy boasts that if, "operated properly, it is impossible
to clog this mower with dry or wet grass."
That was true! Victa, of course, did not invent the high-arch lawnmower - they simply adopted the
design from former Australian machines (Collect-O-Matic and Turner) and added the 'V' factor ...
Victa Marketing.
This series is divided into four parts, each covering 6 pages of the 24 page catalogue
of the early 1970s Victa range. Enjoy!
All very interesting.
