Hi all. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice. I have a 5/26 Ride on mower. It was working well however it started being reluctant to drive forward or in reverse especially up hill. It gradually got worse and now will not drive at all. I changed the belts but the problem remains. I suspect that the split idler pulley is not working properly. Does anyone have experience with this problem. Cheers sreddit

sreddit, Did you fit the correct belts to the ride on they should be TM60218A & TM60219A . Also have you checked that the split pulley has movement up and down. Check that first and then we can go further.

Hi Bruce, I got the belts in accordance with the spare parts list and have shown old belts to supplier and They are satisfied the new belts are correct. The split pulley seems to be stuck in the up (or Open) position. Can I fix this. Can this be done on the mower or do I need to remove the whole assembly and then bench it. Thanks for your advice Bruce. Cheers Stephen
