Have been told that the top output shaft apparently is on a separate spline shaft of the output of the Honda engine. Correct? Have tried downloading the owners manual and so far I can't see how it all falls apart. Perhaps I am reading the manual incorrectly.Yes it anti clock wise

Cheers for any info, pointers, help at all.

Heh. Dead set simple.
Put a big set of stilsons on to the shaft, gave it a tap, and it just came straight off (un screwed - anti clockwise). Couldn't believe it.
And because I have been pulling, pushing, hitting, slamming the engine for the past four months trying to get it off incorrectly, the pulley's just slipped straight off in my hands. I can easily see how it can be rusted in place and take a few tonne of a press to pull it off, but because I've been playing with it for so long --- just slipped off as though it was just sitting there.

All up, it took me about one minute and thirty seconds from picking up the stilsons under the bench to having the cover off and the two smaller lower shafts out.

Looks like I have a smashed valve stem push rod thingy which is stuck inside and is causing a full lock up upon the cam trying to push the valve push rod.

I use to own one of these ride on's and it is easy to use. On the left you have two bars which one is your speed and brake the other is your three gears forward, neutral and reverse. Now to operate the gears you need to put the brake on or otherwise you would stuff your drive gears under the motor. One more thing do NOT let little kids play on it or they will wreak it.

How I know this I once too did own the 260 which had the single wheels at the back yours is the 360 which as duel wheels at the back. But like I said you have to have the ride on in brake before you change from either forward, neutral or reverse. Not many people knew about this machine until I got my last ride on.

I will be getting another which it will be a 360 like yours and yes it does follow that same rule. Which I am looking forward to it.
