Hi newlifemowers,
I enjoyed it immensely mate, and many thanks for posting...This is something that will give a few of our members pause for thought...A Briggs with a wooden head...I thought that would be reserved for Tecumseh with its "Indian" logo....Maybe this engine should be called "Kawliga"...(who had a wooden head!) lol

Well, that's a laugh!

I have heard of wooden pistons [redgum apparently works OK] being made and used in small engines, and even motorbikes, during WW2 when parts were unavailable. But never a wooden head.
