Test fit the 160...just need to mill down the aftermarket valve cover at work to clear the bars, also might have to modify the exhaust and flip it to not char the bars.

Debating on painting the honda tank and side covers...will throw the rest together and make a call, might look good original colours.

Thanks Rolla !

Got the boys at smallengineperformance working out an exhaust for me...that along with the valve cover with chrome breather should be enough bling for the engine....for now that is.

Hi peettee

Can I ask where you had you blasting, powder coating and chrome done?
Was it expensive?
Also what paint/colour have you used for the chassis?

Cheers

Hi peettee,

And thanks for posting your update pics. grin
I don't know if you are looking for comments on your last pics, but if I may I would like to share mine, please do not take offence....this is just my opinion. wink

Personally, I find the lettering too large for the size of the chain case....the size of the Honda lettering would (in my opinion) be a better choice...also I do know that in sign-writing, that all letters are not equidistantly spaced apart as yours are there...and to my eye does not look correct.

See what I mean in the pentagon decal illustrated here, it is a different font, but I think you will get the idea... wink

It seems to me that beauty is in some ways in the eye of the beholder - a matter of personal preference. However in some fields, if you assembled a panel of experts they'd pretty much agree. That doesn't mean, of course, that it is "wrong" to do it differently, unless you specifically want your work to look as if it were done by a professional.

Personally, I agree with both of Deejay's points, though I do not think you can tell whether proportional spacing has been used or not in that instance because the letters are all the same width. However to me it would look better if they were closer spaced, perhaps like in the SB decal, or if not, just a smidgen further apart, not with the wide spacing used on peetee's current (and perfectly executed, as always) work.

peetee, you might want to run a poll on this to see if there is a usual view, or it's 50/50?

Hi peettee, I think it's looks awesome mate! It's not something I'd do personally and that's why I like it even more! When you customise anything to this level, it becomes a very personal project and I really commend you on your vision, well done on doing something different grin

It's the quality and the commitment that counts for me, not whether anyone else likes it or not. If you move on to some other projects, I'd definitely love to see em!

Appreciate the comments gents.
Lettering will be a pita to change and risk damaging paintwork so it will remain as is.
Once complete the lettering will not be such a focal point, what with custom bent ceramic coated exhaust and can, bling reel and all the other bits im working on.
Just want to finish it off now and give her a run!

Havnt finished her off yet...still a few small bits and pieces to sort out ,
like transport wheels and bent exhaust.

Model below of transport wheels, they attach on handle bar frame mounts .
Laser cut 3mm plate chromed and fitted with 47mm Anti rocker wheels in black.

Been busy with other projects and Havnt started the honda for a while so i Spun the oem exhaust upside down to run her up as the custom bent system is still a little way off, so too is the low profile finned valve cover. Reel set and deflektor in place.
