Hi,
I am new to the forum, I have just had a Colt 5 given to me that was blowing a bit of blue smoke and running poorly, the air claener was badly plugged up, I am not sure if it can suck oil out the crank breather with a blocked filter? But after fitting a new airlceaner and spark plug, it seems to run fine.
It is a really good condition mower that has been stored inside from new, but the tyres are very badly perished.
The only things marked on the tyres are Brand Nankang and

Rear
N=766
N=1274-1

Front
N=767
N=1275-1

Could anyone with a Colt 5 please have a look at their tyres and provide me with the correct sizes (Height/width etc). I have tried my local shop and they cannot match them up.

might be odd looking numbers , 16.650/8 or something like that ? or take one with you to a mower / tyre shop , those numbers dont mean a lot so far . Dave ... sounds like maybe a pattern number

Hi Murray and Dave, I have contacted Bruce (Admin) and asked his help in determining the correct sizes for you.The size you mention Dave, doesn't look right.Hopefully we will know later in the day. Bruce has tyres in the Online Store.

Hi Murray, the dirty air filter would cause rich mixture, which would normally result in black (petrol) smoke, not blue (oil) smoke. If you had blue smoke, there may have been some old oily deposits in the combustion chamber or the muffler. Running the engine with rich enough mixture to cause petrol smoke may also have caused some cylinder bore wear, since the petrol washes the oil off the bore. I suggest you check that the engine oil is clean and does not smell of petrol.

Thank you Bruce, much appreciated, I took it down to another Mower shop yesterday, they gave me a price of $80ea for rears and $50 each for fronts. So I did not buy them.

I had not put it on my original post, but the first thing I had done was replaced the oil as it had the viscosity and colour of Worcestershire sauce. I did not want to try starting it with that soup in it and thought for the price of a few litres of oil it was not worth the risk. If I had thought about it a bit more I would have connected the dots, thanks for the advice
