I got a falcon mower today, but don't know much about it and hope someone on here can help me

it's got a bright green alloy deck, chrome 2 piece handles, 4 blade disc and a miss-fitted 375 sprint engine which directs the exhaust fumes back to the operator

it had the dirtiest air filter i'd ever seen, the least amount of the dirtiest oil in a crankcase i'd ever seen, the most clogged fins i'd ever seen and a broken starter

it had fuel in it, so i topped up the oil, fitted another starter, sprayed in some "start ya briggsy", pulled the cord 2 or 3 times and off i went, mowing my front lawn. stopped, changed the oil, removed debris and degreased engine, all good

the closest thing it resembles in my "collection" is a rover craftsman, but i'd like to find out a bit more

t/y in advance, johnny

Johnny, a couple of pictures would bring this thread to life. I don't know if some member is familiar with the brand already, but for this to make sense to most people, they have to see what it looks like.

Is a falcon mower I owned years back, engine is mounted correctly and it should have a deflector on the muffler.

I believe that the base is the same as a supaswift.

They are a fairly solid base if I remember correctly, my one pictured went to a new home many years ago. The wheels let mine down, I fitted some viking wheels and then went to town with the spray cans, mine was red originally.

hi joe

going by the condition of the wheels (treads), blades and deck it doesn't look like it's done too many miles

i suspect it's NEVER had a service in its life. it sure perked up with a little TLC

That red one there is identical to the first 4 stroke mower I ever owned, used to push it to the servo when I was 13, put in a tank of fuel and go on my mowing run lol it ended up dying and getting "sent to a better place".

Joe, visually it seems very similar to a Rover 200ES I had. However since the engine is labelled 3.5 Classic, it must be bigger than the Rover's 9 cubic inches. I don't recall them making a 9 cubic inch side valve 3.5 HP since the 92908 of the late 1970s.

So I'm assuming that these mowers were done by Rover?

If i remember right they are different to a rover.
That one has a super swift catcher on it.

Yep thats my house Blumbly. Back before my lovely garden got violated by a man with a brushcutter coming through 3 years after the footpath was done so they could survey where they had put it.

It never recovered.
It now has 3 lavender plants as well. (yeah they were pissin me off in the post at the front door for over a year, one didnt make it)
