Having just borrowed my housemate's father's Masport 200/4 stroke, I've started it immediately after getting it out of the car, and mown our front lawn. Having taken a break (it's 35 C out there!) I've tried to start it up again to mow the back yard, and can't get it started.

It's probably flooded, because, dingbat that I am, I primed it thrice again before attempting to start it.

Any advice out there for how to get it started? Any help much appreciated. You can be as sarcastic as you want. If I end up with the mower started I'll still kiss the ground you walk on (as long as you watch where you step).

Try removing the spark plug first to see if it is wet and if so pull the starter cord about six times with the plug out then blow the plug dry and put it back in. The mower should start but make sure that you don't prime it again when it is hot.
