Considering the generous offfer you have made jeffery and I, i just might keep it aside for you Joe.
We have a bulletein board page on the computers here, and i dont know how many 1000's of people looking at that, i got another 2 offered today, so I'm off to get a total of 6 on my way home, I'll put them up when i get home!

I picked up the last one today, one of the newer victa cordless electric, apparently it works, just need to get it a battery. I'll pop up a photo soon. Also grabbed the catchers for the 3 above without them. ___________________________ EDIT: Here's the last one: ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2011/07/full-5013-1856-09072011003.jpg)

maybe try village mowers in ingleburn for the battery when you come up this way its only 10-15 minutes down the road from here i reckon they would have one they have a cordless on display.
if you do go there when you walk in the door take a few steps turn around and look up above the door you will think you are in heaven maybe stand by the fire and just look for a while i do it everytime i go there.
Cheers, Emmo

The two red victas and the rover would pull some great money if cleaned up . the green powertorque would be another good one provided you found a catcher that fits (heck I thikn most high arch ones from an 18" would fit) The big tecumseh I have had a few like that, very quirky carb on them, I have never had any luck with. Worst case take the engine off the green powertorque base and bolt her on for a more "modern" looking mower!

I have the catchers for all of them, and they seem to be in good nick.
The 2 red ones are quite new, and should be good for throwing into this springs sale lot, the green one may do the same, but its on offer for trade in another thread at this point.
I'm still deciding with the Tecumseh, i have people ask me to fix them every now and then, so i may pop my spare powertorque i have on it, and use the engine for parts.
I normally don't fuss with electric ones, not really my interest, but this one apparently works (needs a battery) and is in good shape, so if i can get it up, it will go to my grandfather, who needs something light these days.
Cheers Ty

Found a little tip hidden away on a back road behind Bungendore today, they don't have a shop, just an area where locals drop and take things that are OK for free. Picked up this Masport for nothing, so i though it would fit into this tread. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2011/07/full-5013-1866-11072011007.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2011/07/full-5013-1867-11072011008.jpg) Is this engine any good, i know where there are a few more, but they are not free (all have the cords snapped too!)

The cords are a pain to replace as they are led in with a staple, otherwise if they dont have a rodnock they are a fantastic engine.

I'd grab them all even if they turn out being no good you can always take them to a local scrappy and get paid for them!

That Tecumseh on the freebie, if you can get a cowling and pulley and starter off one of the others with the top starter it will go on. Then you dont have to mess with the side starter. I had one here with the rear mount tank (with the reversed engine on the rover rapid it was on it was actually forward mount tank) and i used one of those tanks so it had a side mount tank on it. As long as its the same shape cowl.
That Ultima. They are a bit of a pain in the butt thing. I had one here and it was a bit of a pain. Turns out the bottom seal was leaking, i new that, but the blade plate was loose. I never checked that as i wanted it running before i spent a cent. Thats a good theory with them. When they are working right they are a good thing.
I put my ultima engine on a late alloy base. Got good coin for it seeing as its winter. Then put a PT on the silver base and called it a silver streak. Got fair money for it too.

I'll keep it in mind, i think though, with this first one, i may try and re-do the cord as original, just to get an idea whats going on.
I have not worked on the engine before, but it's one i had frequent requests to fix up back in my victa only days, so knowing all i can about it may be useful, however once i have fixed one or two cords, i think i will take your advise and put the top starter on!
I'll have a look into the ultima, apparently it works well, just takes allot to start, so a good clean up and service, if that doesn't do it, i have plenty more to sell, so parts for customer jobs, and a PT on the base.
Cheers Ty

I have the add up again, and another 2-3 mowers to collect already, Plus something Interesting.
A lady has something described as a "Petrol Powered Lawn Roller (I think)" that is about 50 years old.
That could be a few things, and it has me quite excited, I also now know it is smaller than a normal mower.
Any idea what it could be? A small Driven roller, I dont think I have ever seen anything likethat!
