Hi. I'm a new member and not overly computer wise. I have just purchased a Victa 5 26 and want to know how to do minor jobs on it to keep it running smoothly so I'll be looking for some expert advice. Also when were they made? Can you tell by the codes on them? Anyway, glad to be aboard.

Welcome aboard, Glen smile
If you put the relevant numbers into a post in the Ride-on Mower section, I'm sure there'll be a few people only too willing to help you out.
:welcome:

Glen, as Igor said, welcome aboard, and please post some information on your ride-on. To estimate its manufacture date we need the long set of numbers stamped on the cooling air cowl that wraps around the cylinder head and flywheel of the engine. This includes three blocks of numbers, laid out in a single line. Some pictures, plus the model and serial number information on the mower itself, will also help with some other details about it.

Hi. Thank you Igor and Grumpy for your warm welcome and advice what to look for. I will check it out to-day and get back to you. I'll even have a go at a photo. Thanks again. Like Macarthur - I will return. Glen.

I'll look forward to it, Glen. Please start a new thread in the Ride-On Mowers section when you do your Douglas Macarthur impression.
