hi all i have an old 8hp brigs motor on a old rover ridon the handlebar steering type and i am looking at a 10.5 hp with electric start to replace the 8hp .is it a straight swap?i realise id have to sort a batery etc but bolt pattern and shaft size? thanks in advance mike

bolt pattern is the same, shafts can range from straight and stepped shafts. from memory the old rover rangers (ones with the handle bar steering had the straight type shaft.
