Hi all newbie here.
I purchased this mower about 6 months ago and it all works great.Cuts easy and self propelled with clutch handle up the top near handle grip. Problem is I just have no idea how old it actually is and or any info about the model. Wonder if some person out there might know more about it than I do please smile
Thanks
Terry

Hi Terry, I have explained in the "Old Mower Pictures" topic
that your machine is a Model 19, "Bonmow" electric, 14" first manufactured in Adelaide SA by Scott Bonnar in 1953. They are a strong machine, easy to work on, and are capable of a fine manicured finish to your lawn.

Are you going to restore your machine? If so, here is a pic of another forum member Mark x11 (Craig's)petrol engined machine...Click HERE
that he has restored. The colour he used is a Septone hammertone blue and is close to the original finish used by SB.
The brass ID tags on your machine polish up very well.

Here is also an advert I found some time ago while surfing the net...

As you can see, they were not cheap in those days...
Hoping that this helps,
cheers2
