I'm just about to upload some photos and a bit of a story about removing and replacing a drive shaft in a Greenfield Ann 12/32 ride on. I'm am a member of a few different forums on the net and what i think this one is missing is a "how to" or "diy" section. Just showing people basic repairs and mantance on there equipment and it gives people a chance to up load there jobs in one section. Ok guys thanks and its a great site.

In my opinion, this whole forum is dedicated to "DIY" and "how to". In other words, the member asks their question and our moderators and members try and give the correct answer to achieve a good result. Because there are so many types of outdoor equipment, not to mention brands and manufacturers, it is necessary for us to have dedicated topics for engines, frames etc...which helps a person researching a problem search our archives for a similar problem that other members have had more easily, and a possible solution to fix their machine.
If we had a topic on Greenfield Ride-ons, that would be where you would post your story.

Hi dave, my first and most important point, is that your pictures and explanation of how to remove, replace and refit the intermediate shaft to a Greenfield 12-32 would be very useful to the members and to this site. Please post it. My second point is that I agree with Deejay that because we have the topics divided up by subject (engines, frames, ride-ons, etc.) it is not really practical to have a general how-to section: the how-to threads will fit much better into the subject areas. And my third point is that if you look at the left column of this page you will see a "Popular Topics" list. That is the ultimate accolade for a thread: if thousands of people read it, it ends up as a popular topic. I hope your Greenfield repair thread will be one of those success stories - it is already obvious that some people are looking forward to it; information on Greenfield repairs seems to be thin on the ground, especially on the Greenfield website.
