Update: New flywheel has fixed most problems. However, i have a new problem. Due to running with a cracked flywheel, the 'key slot' on the input shaft has deformed somewhat. Which means i cant the key in between the flywheel and the input shaft,(down the slot).
I substituted a piece of steel that fit the key slot, mower ran great for 20mins but now the steel has destructed somewhat and not holding the flywheel in the correct position. Probably too soft steel. So, what is the solution here? I will try and get a new key but i doubt i can find one...

The flywheel can only work if it is held securely in a fixed position on the crankshaft. That requires perfectly rectangular keyways in both crankshaft and flywheel, with a tight-fitting key. If the keyways are mangled (and it sounds as if both of them are at this point) you need a new crankshaft and a new flywheel.
See if you can file off the burrs (which you should have done in the first place) and get the original key to fit tightly in both parts. If not, I don't think it is worthwhile replacing the crankshaft (and probably replacing the flywheel again). Best to toss the engine in the skip and chalk the whole thing up to experience.

I hate to say it but that crank looks, well and truly stuffed.

As grumpy said you may be lucky and be able to file it smooth again and refit a new key of the right size and type.

However If you look on ebay you can probably find a victa 160cc mower easily with the same engine as yours for pennies. Even a full crank engine from a push mower should fit on fairly easily.

I have bought some new 1/8" key steel and will see if it fits. Same size as old key. I should have done that first before installing new flywheel...too impatient..
If looking for a replacement engine, how to know if it will fit this mower?
Otherwise... new briggs or honda or proscape?

Bruce or Joe can advise on which engines will fit. I wouldn't rush into buying a new engine, since it will cost more than a discounted new mower and will almost inevitably be one of the Chinese engines - which do not yet seem to be achieving the traditional quality of American or Japanese engines. Joe's advice to take a look at ebay, and buy an original full-crank Victa engine for a couple of bucks, seems like a better idea.
