Has anyone found a good way to repair B&S head gaskets? I took the head off my 60102 (i.e. 100 cc horizontal crankshaft) to see whether the bore in the old 1963 engine was aluminium or cast iron (it was aluminium) and part of the surface layer of the head gasket stuck to the block. I don't seem to be able to get a new gasket (can't find it in the on-line store) so I'll need to coat part of the surface of the existing one with some gunk to smooth it out and make it seal properly. Shouldn't be any drama, but if someone has already found the right stuff to use, that will save me making a series of messes of it.

Hi grumpy, from my research, for the 60102; the Part and Item Number for the new head gasket you require is 272167 and is available HERE
Just scroll down the list to find the part number. wink
