Hi,

Is there any reason that a G3 Carby would be fitted to a Powertorque motor, I just picked up a mower and it had this fitted, I believe it should have the plastic carby?

Does the G3 Carby offer any advantages?

Thanks

Can you post a picture of the motor that has the G3 carby on it because I have never seen that done before and I am interested to see how it is fitted myself. cheers2

It has this brass/bronze type of adapter, not sure if it was bought or hand made.

An experiment gone wrong? The guy who did it obviously doesn't understand the design of the Power Torque

Yea seemed a little strange I thought. I tried the plastic carby from my other powertorque on it and still cant get it running.

It has plenty of spark. It also has the decompresser removed and plugged up, would this cause it to not start?

Tomorrow I will remove the muffler to see if thats blocked up.

Also this one has some kind of silver box that the wires from the coil connect to, is this an ignition module? My other power torque mower doesn't have it.

Thanks

i plugged up my power torque as the decompressor was stuffed, still goes fine just harder to start, and i think the silver box could be the condenser, as my other power torque had it yet some have a black condenser which if covered in muck can be hard to see

That silver box is the electronic module and if it is not earth properly then you will not get constant spark. They are usually held on by a pop rivet and sometimes come loose which causes a bad earth. cheers2

G'day,
Yeh it looks like either a standard copper reducer that you braze on or two bits of pipe brazed together?
