G'day everyone,
Does anyone know if any hydraulic company here in Oz does rebuilts on the Eaton model 6/7? a friend of mine has a Toro 724Z zero turn ride on and the right side hydro trans is down on power compared to left side. When I changed the oil there was a lot of metal flecks in the oil from right side hydro, whereas oil in left side hydro had hardly any.

I don't specifically know who repairs them but when I did a search I got the following.

Hydraulic rebuild specialists in Australia that typically service Eaton hydro units:

Hydraulic Services Australia – operates nationwide, handle Eaton/Char-Lynn/Toro hydro rebuilds.

K-Tech Hydraulics – rebuild hydro pumps/motors for turf and industrial machinery.

Toro-authorized service centers – some of them do full Eaton hydro rebuilds or can ship out to Eaton specialists.

Rex Hydraulics / Hydroline Hydraulics – Sydney/Melbourne, handle hydrostatic transmissions including Eaton models.

Tip: When calling, mention:

Eaton 6/7 series hydrostatic transmission

Metal flakes in the oil

Toro 724Z zero-turn

Ask if they do “full tear-down and rebuild” rather than just replacing seals—metal flakes indicate internal component wear, not just a seal issue.
