I have just been checking out some old threads looking to determine the model number of the 45 twin rail 17” with twin ID plates with a Briggs Stratton Am I correct to think it is 45 048?
Secondly, looking at the brochure, it appears the mower shown doesn’t have an ID plate in its place? I have a 17 45 exactly as picture in the brochure, in good original unmolested condition the same colour and features with decent amount of original “patina” and am very curious as mine also doesn’t have an ID plate or holes drilled where one was originally fitted, if anyone can help because none of my other 45’s are like this?
I'd say yours is from the era where they used a white sticker which over time deteriorated and came off. This was during the time that the "Challenge Bank" own Scott Bonnar
