Hi Everyone,
I am in the process of restoring a Rover Colt 8 mower and I need to test or replace the Rover Interlock Safety Module. Does anyone know how I can test it to see if the existing unit is still working please? Or where I can buy a suitable replacement unit in Sydney NSW please? Thank you all.

Hi, from what I can see the module monitors for closed circuits and if a switch is opened then the mower shuts down? Thank you

Ok Canham, firstly have you tested the 3 switches in the circuit, they have to work for the module to work

Hi Canham and Norm,

It looks like if you connect green to yellow ,blue to blue on the module then connect an ohm meter to red /white it should be earth.

Hi Max,
I agree with you it is only to make a circuit. We spent a few hours over the weekend sorting out getting HQ wiper motors to park. They are interesting because everything on those work off the neutral, the switch has no power to it. We had that all in our heads 40 years ago but the memory had forgotten most of what goes on in there.

Hi Norm,

Yes I also had the same problem a while ago remembering how that wiring went but remember at the moment the 4 spade
terminals on the motor ,1 is 12 volt positive ,4 is earth slow , 3 is earth fast ,and park is 2 and 4 connected together (1971}.
