I'm working on one of these and it has thrown the drive belt off. Does anybody know which way the drive pulley should be on. At the moment the pulley is on with the boss section with the grub screw facing the underside of the motor. I'm wondering if I reverse the pulley and have the top of the pulley up close to the underside of the motor this should act as a keeper and prevent the belt from coming off. Any thoughts?
Still junk MF but I guess there is probably quite a few of them out there and I guess people will keep dragging them here to see if I can fix them. I'm not going to bother fixing the motors too much, the "E" series motors don't give me much faith in them
The fact I scored a good late model base with a partially dismantled e series on it, from a skip bin at a mower shop, speaks volumes. I fitted a V40 and sold it for a good profit.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
