I tried to PM Chris125 to find out how or where he got the Pope decals for his renovation, but just keep getting a message that his mailbox is full. I am guessing he would have these on computer as saved images?? It is odd that you can buy decals for many vintage mowers on places like ebay, but there's none at all for Pope. The white decal against the orange looks very cool!
On evilBay there’s an outdoorking member who sells very reasonably priced decals, I assume that’s the chap you’re referring to?
In any case, my understanding is he has a day job that can be quite time consuming, like most of us. I’ve been able to message him via evilBay on a couple of occasions; so you might try that and see how you get on.
I don’t know about Pope decals, however, he has a few different vintage brands’ decals reproduced. It might be worth messaging silensmessor and asking. My understanding is he has a library of images and reproduces them based on demand.
Hi Vint_mow. I got a message from a guy on the early pope FB page of which I am a member. His mate makes them, and will be getting some. I'll put an order in for a set for you and me, why not dress her up....... My Pope is coming together, a few problems to solve. A guy on the FB page said on how to put the white hubcaps back in, he said use a screwdriver and push rubber back and push it in. I sprayed the wheel with WD40 and tapped it in with a wooden hammer.... it worked. I gotta make one. Just looking for any material.... cheers speedy

Thanks Speedy, Wow, that will be excellent! Your restore is coming along very nicely. I really need some kind of cowl for mine, otherwise it is going to have to run naked. It had a Villier's cowl on it originally, which was crudely fitted, but it did the job I suppose. The old Villiers cowl was extremely rusty and may be past repairing. I'll have to keep an eye peeled for old Popes at the local tip.
Having a few technical issues with camera at present. Lithium batteries are as expensive as gold these days, so I generally use an adaptor and connect it to the 240 plug. Problem will be either finding a lead long enough to reach to mower or finding a way to cart it all closer to a power point. Haha! I'll see what I can manage speedy.
