Hi All,

I've been a member on here for 11 years when I most likely starting doing a lot of reading up on mowers, then life got in the way. So I thought I'd better finally introduce myself and also signed up as a subscription member.

I grew up in Essendon in the late 60's through 90's just a few doors down from Precision Mowers. I remember as a kid raiding the junk parts bins out their back alley so we could build our billy carts and other projects - fun times!

Anyway, fast forward to today living in Brisbane and I find myself rummaging through piles of old mower parts again but this time trying to help out a very old mate sort through the remnants of many decades repairing mowers.

Will be needing help ID'ing some parts which a lot of existing posts are helping with, along with other resources I've found along the way. The aim is to sell a fair bit of the stuff for him, and keep some parts to help build my own Victa Special or similar.

Look forward to doing a lot of reading a checking out great pics.

Hi If you are on Brisbane and want Victa special parts I have plenty including a complete base, wheels and lots of engine parts. No fuel tanks . I don't want them but would be happy to swap. I need a late model Poowertorque utility at the moment even just a base. I was even thinking of putting a side pull full crank on the 18 special base but that's almost sacrilegious. Jeff
