Another instalment of having a bit of fun with words . . . . .
This weekend will be a long one for me
I'm working a 9 day fortnight you see
An extra day to spend in the great outdoors
time with my family and then there's the chores
The lawn plan is blank but there's plenty to do
like cleaning the shed, and making home brew
I bought the mower a gift, a fancy new front roller
can't wait for growing season, sometime in October
Right about now I add some pre-emergent
but I'll wait a few weeks as this part's not urgent
The lawn is still healthy with no signs of Winter snooze
there might be some fungus - it's leaving me clues
I'll start the planning of some new irrigation
automatic control with room for a weather station
What to choose? And where to source?
I'll go ask the forum - yes, that's the best course!
When Monday rolls around and you're all off to work
I'll be on the course with my son and a smirk
Family time is my time, and ain't it pure bliss
stay safe, be careful, together we'll get through this
