Good Afternoon ODK Members,

I have been working on this pair of 56 Ogden reel mowers for a while now, one is mine and one is a mates. Mine has the white tank strap, it had a good engine and I just had to service the magneto and carb. The other one had its engine stripped down and bearings and seals replaced. Runs nicely, fitted a new belt to it and mowed the front yard. Both will now be stripped and repainted.

Not an easy job to fit a new belt, engine comes off and then you disassemble the belt side of the mower frame. May as well keep going and service all the bearings and grind the reel.















I will update this thread when I strip mine down for its repaint 😀

yes! A fantastic addition to the record. Thank you.

Many small and large AUS companies offered the powered side-wheel
post WWII.

Price-wise, they were a serious contender to the rotary - for folks able
to purchase their first power mower post war.
