Soil temperatures are bouncing around so there's no real confirmation of Spring arriving either than the sweet aroma of the neighbours' Jasmine vine viciously attacking my mandarin and camellias out the back... Note - cut the jasmine at the fence line*
A little more about the soil this weekend and not a lot of activity. Lay down some kelp, wetter, and humic and water in to taste. Remember to humic the vegepod (photos to come soon) and passionfruit vine.. The weather forecast ahead is for more rain (clearing around Tuesday) so no need to water in the liquids.
After the rains of this week there is a distinct greener tinge around the lawn as it responds to the earlier feeding.
Start preparing for trimming a few hedges (murraya and buxus for example) and pull out the mulcher to make sure its ready for a new season. I haven't bought garden mulch for well over 15 years as the DIY option provides plenty of new organics each year..
Next week will be a top up organic fertilise and the start of the Sydney Grade cricket season..
Cheers, TC.

Hi all,
Strangely my SA Couch looks like it's on heat already and that's early especially considering how late it started last year.
I may well be in for a much longer season by the looks of it.
Cheers, BB.

Spring seems to have stalled with a return of the chill air the days are getting longer, call it even, that's fair With a standing ovation from lawnies far and near the clouds open up and cover us in sky-beer
It fills all my tanks and the pool to the brim start thinking ahead - the hedges will soon need a trim Murraya and buxus reveal their sweet light green shoots the trimmings to be mulched, re-laid, so as not to pollute
More work on the soil with amendments to taste the rains grow heavier, threatening all that to waste Enough! Enough! Your ruining the master plan! peering outside, my lawn resembles Warragamba [Censored]
Its soft underfoot so just keep off my lawn oh no! The postie bike and the rider adorned. I'll fix the rut with some sand and some food in no time it'll repair, the plan says so, she's good
Friday night Youtube with Connor, Ben and more! then peering out the window again planning my chores Leave plenty of time when all the work is done to spend it with family - you know, our loved ones.
Cheers, TC.
